You created Luck to work with the C platform. How hard is Luck to update when C is updated or changed? Does it have to be updated to keep it current and working with C platform?
Luck is research into implementation of a compiler, if that makes any sense. The ideas going into the input language are not novel. The ideas going into the output language are not novel. The internals however are potentially much cleaner than anything similar.
In other words, the language is nomadic.
So if units of "update" could be hours spent by contributors, then Luck tends to be higher leverage than other languages. This comes despite the language being fairly feature rich at this point. And to answer your question more specifically, C isn't updated very often.
