I'm currently a CS student at UCR and I hope to impact the world through software engineering. What advice do you have for a college student who is aspiring to be an entrepreneur? (especially for a minority - I'm one of the few female engineers in my class). I have bursts of passion to code and then phases where I'm disappointed by my ideas and drop them before fully executing.
Find things you are into and spend time on them. Getting stuff done is a powerful thing, even if you start to lose interest.
And - as a female engineer, hunt aggressively for your peers. I'm chair of National Center for Women & Information Technology - www.ncwit.org - and there are lots of resources there to explore.
