Hi Mark, I think it's refreshing to see a very well educated man with a diverse background to run for congress. What urged you to run for congress?
People would always approach me and ask, “Why don’t you run for office?” My answer was always, “I live in Maryland.” As history has shown, Republicans don’t win elections in Maryland. All of that changed when a small businessman who had never run for public office ran away with the gubernatorial election. Governor Larry Hogan set the precedent for my campaign. Timing is everything, and 2016 is going to be a pivotal year. I believe the people of Maryland are looking for real practical answers from people with real practical experiences. I am a doctor, a veteran, a businessman, and a lawyer. I am not looking for another career. I am not a career politician, but I know, now more than ever, time is crucial and the risk to our nation is significant. I look at my grandchildren and realize that if I want them to have the opportunities that I had, someone needs to step up and make sure those opportunities are available for the next generations.
Thank you for your question!
