Certainly there are people who don't have social media profiles but who search on Google. How does this affect your work?
Social Media and SEO are very intertwined. If you want to promote yourself in search engines, you MUST have social media profiles that are active, updated and full of engagement.When you search for your name in Google, I guarantee that one of the top results is either LinkedIn or Facebook or some other social media platform.
Most customer do their due diligence before starting to work with a service provider. They 'google' this service provider and check out theirFacebook page, etc.
If you don't have a social media account, you are leaving money on the table.
How does this affect my work? If I take on a client that does not have a social media profile, I can show really quick and business changing results by simply setting up 2 accounts on the platforms where their ideal customer hangs out and the impact for this business owner is eye-opening.
However, I have not found many businesses without at least a Facbeook business page in the past 2 years :)
