Market research forms a key part of any business. Can the authenticity of online forms be a sure way to carry out market research? Do you feel the traditional market research is still valid in certain contexts?
Is it better to rely on traditional market research tools than online survey forms for market research?
I think this all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Traditional market research methods can't always address the online/digital demographic, yet the comprehensiveness of tried-and-true methods still has significant value. But, online research is significantly cheaper, which makes it much more accessible for startups like ours. All in all, for a business like Digg, I start with online, and if I have the time and resources to go deeper, then I'll move offline.
