Do you have a favorite technique or strategy?
Hi Rob -
This is a great question! Right now most of my business comes from referrals, so I have only used the random tweets, LinkedIn group postings, and Facebook. Recently I started using MailChimp to promote events and finally start to do a little writing. So I'm light on that side...
A colleague of mine is exploring Facebook ads, which I think is always clever, however not sure if that's a space I'll get into personally.
My goal is to actually start writing more and posting to sites like Medium.com. Still working on that one though.
How about for you?

For me personally, Facebook seems like a perpetual family reunion! I know that many people successfully use it for business, but there are just too many ways for unwanted content to creep in and affect your business image.
I'm not currently a "consultant", so I don't really have a methodology for promoting that business. I suspect that I will one day, though. That's why I asked.
Currently, I'm focused on branding myself in a prolific yet genuine way. I started with LinkedIn, now I'm here on Wiselike (which I really like). Next, I'll be headed over to Medium.com.
My goal is to do more writing as well - for myself and others.
Sounds great! Whatever insights I can provide let me know. Always happy to collaborate.
For linked in, join groups that are meaningful to you that you can learn from and contribute to. That will help to raise your brand on-line. You can also post blogs on LinkedIn which help with your visibility also.
Facebook to me is more of a personal media forum, that's my preference for how to use that one and keep my work / personal life a little separate so I'm kinda with you there. It works great for those willing to invest that way, however it's not really my thing.J
