I am aware that there are dropouts that are worshipped by the media, but is that something the media writes because it gets views or are there really a lot of successful entrepreneurs?
I am considering dropping out of college to become an entrepreneur. I have an idea that I think has a lot of potential. However, I am afraid that I won’t be able to raise funding because I lack a college degree. Is it harder for dropouts to raise money?
With all due respect Ranjit, IMHO you should kickstart your idea while you are still enrolled in college, you'll have all sorts of benefits and resources because of it; don't chase a nebulous dream glorified by media. Besides, most of those "dropouts" started their ventures while still in college and only "droped out" because their venture had already taken some flight.Maybe by then you can say they didn't drop out of college, but they dropped it down.Wish you the best!
