I noticed that when I send long emails with concerns in them, some usually don't get addressed in the response I get (which leads to more email exchanges). Is it appropriate to bold some parts of the text? Or would it have a negative effect on the reader?
In general, using formatting in emails is unprofessional. People expect emails to be text, not HTML. Try to keep them as short as possible to prevent a protracted back and forth exchange. It’s also important to give all relevant context.
