  • What kind of people would you be looking for to take into your company as interns?

A lot of potential newcomers to the tech industry are starting out by doing internships. What kind of qualifications are you looking for when it comes to interns? What kind of tasks would they be doing at VSCO? What would you tell them to expect and what do you expect out of them?

Tai, we like hiring people who are humble, curious, driven and looking to be part of something bigger than themselves. For software engineering internships we are looking for folks who have a solid understanding of software development principles such as caring about code quality, good testing practices (unit testing), DRY (don't repeat yourself), working on a team and always be learning. For internships, we believe in treating them as part of the team where they work on meaningful projects that are core to the product, there is no better way to learn than to ship software!
